I was born in England to a Scottish father and my maiden name is Weaver. My family is of Clan MacFarlane which originated from the western shore of romantic Loch Lomond. It ought to have been no surprise to me that when I started weaving, in my fifties, I would love the process of weaving and especially weaving tartans. Seeing the texture of 2/2 twill, the blending of the intersecting colours, and feeling the soft lightness of the completed cloth, are so very satisfying to me.
I now live in rural Nebraska – in the peaceful land of tallgrass prairie and fields of soybean and corn.
